The Europe Forum invites everyone to talk about Europe in an online event

The Europe Forum is being held in Turku for the third time from 27 to 28 August 2020 with more than 30 civic organisations and public bodies. Through a live stream, the Europe Forum will reach all citizens who want to watch the event programme and participate in it by asking questions and commenting. The discussions can be accessed free of charge at www.europeforum.fi/en.

Europe Forum Turku was a success

The Europe Forum was held in Turku from 29 to 31 August 2019. The event was attended by almost 200 experts and influencers and 6,000 participants who conversed with each other both in person and over the Internet.

The Europe Forum is taking place in Turku from 29 to 31 August 2019. In addition to hundreds of experts and influencers, the over 50 free-of-charge events that are open to all are expected to attract a large number of visitors. The programme can also be viewed online as livestreams.

Europe Forum Turku will take over the areas of Vähätori Square and the Main Library from 29 to 31 August 2019 – hundreds of top political and economic influencers are expected to attend

Held from 29 to 31 August 2019, Europe Forum Turku will gather hundreds of top political and economic influencers in Turku to discuss EU matters and the future of Europe together with the public. Most of the forum’s programme will take place in the area of Vähätöri Square as well as the Main Library’s Studio and Library Yard.

The Europe Forum Turku programme includes a public hearing of the Finnish Parliament’s Grand Committee

The public hearing will take place on Friday 30 August 2019 at approximately 11 am–2 pm. The exact schedule for the hearing is announced later. The Europe Forum Turku is the most significant citizens’ event under Finland’s EU Presidency offering citizens an opportunity to meet new decision-makers and the new administration, as well as members of the opposition.

Europe Forum Turku begins the autumn of the Finnish politics and economy

In this year full of political happenings, the direction of the politics will get clearer when Turku organizes Europe Forum Turku for the second time. The Forum brings together the politicians and the influencers of the politics and the economy between the 29th and the 31st of August 2019. The future of the rule of law, the internal market, the freedom of expression and the democracy will be encouraging the citizens to speak out.
